PROGRAM:
Day1
Arrival in Sorrento
- Orientation Tour of Sorrento "Welcome to Sorrento, the magic land!"
- Lunch with Italian students (same age)
Day2
- Italian Course: Cultural Lesson ‘Cities of Fire’ with a short introduction to Herculaneum visit
- Independent Study with italian students
- Sport for teens (kick boxing)
Day3
- Sight-seeing and Visit to the local Market in Sorrento. Enjoy the experience of a typical Italian shopping (with italian students) Nunzia e Bianca
- Tarantella lesson (with private instructor)
Day4
- Visit to olive, lemon and orange groves fields including a visit to the Jam’s factory
- Cooking course about Tiramisù (italian cake).
Day5
- Visit to the Archaeological Museum of Villa Fondi with italian students
- Sport for teens (kick boxing)
Day6
- Introduction to Latin
- Lecture on Mediterranean food Marco M
- Cookery Course about Pizza taken with Italian students of the same age. At the end students will taste the prepared dishes
Day7
- Excursion to Pompei and Herculaneum by train with a specialized guide for both the archaeological sites.
Departure from Sorrento by train, arrival in Pompeii, visit of the ruins and then departure for Herculaneum and visit of the ruins. Herculaneum was buried by volcanic ash when Mount Vesuvius erupted in AD 79. though the site is still not fully excavated, you can view the ruins of villas, ancient temples and the Stabian Baths to gain an intimate knowledge of how wealthy Romans lived 2,000 Years ago.
Day8
- Excursion to the Archaeological Museum of Naples with specialized guide
Day9
- Departure from Sorrento by private bus for Rome
- Orientation of the Eternal City
Day10
- Tour of Renaissance Rome with specialized guide: Vatican Museum; Sistine Chapel; St. Peter
Day11
- Tour of Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain- walking tour of Rome (Piazza Navona, Trinità dei Monti)
Day12
- Full day Tour of Ancient Rome including Circus Maximo; Baths of Caracalla; Colosseum; Domus Aurea; Imperial Fora ; Pantheon.
Day13
- Departure from Rome to Nashville, TN. Transfer from the Hotel to the Airport of Rome
