Dante’s Inferno Program (45 h, 3 credits)
The programme is based on select verses extracted from lectures of “Inferno” by Dante. Students have the opportunity to approach the authentic texts through the lectures. Students will follow a para-phrasing exercise, assisted by the teacher and, at the end of each lesson, they will participate in various activities to improve their oral and written skills. The activities will be based on the verses read in the lessons.
- Lesson 1: Brief introduction. Lecture of verses 1-18; 31-99 canto III. Analysis of character Caronte.
- Lecture ”Il contrappasso”.
- Lesson 2: Lecture of verses 1-90 canto VI. Analysis of character Ciacco.
